Our Top Priority: Your Child’s Safety

At Viga, we believe that play should be both inspiring and incredibly safe. For over 20 years, we have maintained a "Safety First" culture. Every toy we design undergoes rigorous testing—not just once, but at every stage of production—to ensure it meets and exceeds global safety standards.

🌍 Global Standards Compliance

Our products are exported to over 60 countries. To ensure consistent quality, every Viga toy is certified by independent, third-party laboratories (such as TUV, SGS, or ITS) to comply with the following international regulations:

United States & Canada

ASTM F963: Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety.

CPSIA: Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (Lead and Phthalates limits).

European Union

EN71 Series: Parts 1 (Physical/Mechanical), 2 (Flammability), and 3 (Migration of certain elements).

CE Marking: Confirmation that our products meet EU health, safety, and environmental protection requirements.

Australia & New Zealand

AS/NZS ISO 8124: Safety of toys standards for the Oceania market.

🧪 Material Integrity & Non-Toxic Finishes

We are transparent about what goes into our toys. We use only premium materials that are safe for tactile exploration:

Non-Toxic Paints & Inks: We use eco-friendly, water-based paints and heat-transfer printing inks that are lead-free and phthalate-free. Our finishes are compliant with food-contact safety grades.

Sustainably Sourced Wood: We primarily utilize solid Beechwood, Rubberwood, and New Zealand Pine. These are kiln-dried to specific moisture levels (under 14%) to prevent warping, splintering, or mold.

Formaldehyde-Free Glue: All plywood and composite elements use E0 or Carb P2 grade adhesives, ensuring the lowest possible emissions.

🔍 Rigorous Testing Process

Beyond laboratory certification, every Viga toy must pass our internal 5-Step Quality Check:

Small Parts Test: Ensuring no choking hazards for age-appropriate groups.

Tension & Torque Test: Checking that components (like magnets or wheels) won't detach under pressure.

Drop Test: Simulating real-world play to ensure structural integrity.

Chemical Analysis: Periodic batch testing for heavy metals.

Manual Polishing: Every edge is hand-checked for a "Silk-Smooth" finish to prevent burrs.
